Innovation and sustainability for the agriculture of the future

The 3rd Latin american Symposium on Biological Control (3SLACB) to be held from 20 to 22 may 2026 in the building STEM of the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL) in Guayaquil, Ecuador. The event, organized by IOBC-NTRS along with ESPOL, INIAP and Agrocalidad, will bring together scientists, students, professionals, and actors of the agricultural sector in order to strengthen capabilities in handling biological pests, diseases and disease vectors, promoting sustainable agriculture, innovation, scientific cooperation and the production of healthy food meet the challenges of climate change and food security.

Women in Entomology

The Society Entomological Ecuadorian presents the week “Women in Entomology”, a series of talks from 9 to 13 march 2026, where leading researchers share their studies and experiences on insects, biodiversity and integrated pest management.

Course–Workshop on Stingless Bees will be held at the Scientific Station Yasuní

From the 13th to the 16th of February will be held a workshop specialized in the identification, ecology and the sustainable management of stingless bees, in the Scientific Station Yasuní of the Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, led by biólogas expert on bees native to the country.
