Course–Workshop on Stingless Bees will be held at the Scientific Station Yasuní

The Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador, through its research Station in Yasuní, will be the day 13, 14, 15 and 16 February the course–workshop on identification, ecology and the sustainable management of stingless bees, an academic initiative oriented to the conservation of the biodiversity of the amazon.

This training space will feature a theoretical methodologyenabling the attendee to acquire scientific knowledge and apply them directly in the field. The workshop will be guided by biólogas specialists in native bees of Ecuadorwho will share their expertise in research, conservation and responsible management of these key species for the ecosystem.

Stingless bees play a key role in the pollination, ecological balance and environmental sustainabilityso that this course represents a unique opportunity for students, researchers and people interested in ecology, entomology and conservation of nature.

The Scientific Station Yasuní, recognized for its contribution to the scientific research in the Amazon region of ecuador, will be the ideal setting to strengthen the learning and the direct connection with one of the ecosystems most biodiverse on the planet.
